Life metaphoring tennis. The reverse can be true too. The inverse property of mathematics. The human race has a herd mentality. It's amusing in a way watching from the woods how easy it is to start a stampede. The herd is going one way...guess where I am headed.Leave a comment:

Psalm 23 King James Version (KJV)
23 The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.
3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.

I'm going to the gym tomorrow. Regularly scheduled day. That is if it is open. Today is my birthday. Sixty-six. Don't feel a day over eighty! Work at home today. God...I feel good. Thank you Lord.Leave a comment:

Permutations and combinations...here is one of many.
Donald Trump will parlay this common cold virus into "Made in America". He has filed papers to divorce the Chinese. Economic Nationalism.Leave a comment:

The numbers are skewed. The three or four percent fatality cannot possibly be correct. So far...by the numbers:
So 134,000 confirmed cases. 5,000 dead. What about the undetected cases? 90% fatalities are apparently in those 60 years old and older. The young sometimes have the most insignificant symptoms they go undetected. So the fatality number is skewed. It isn't the three or four percent. It may be more in line with the flu....01%-1%. Out of how many billion people? We are shutting the system down. Why? Just a question.
Is anyone tracking the flu anymore? The common cold? Anybody here understand what is truly going on? I don't.
I went to the gym yesterday. On the way home I called my wife and she told me that as of noon they were shutting down all the gyms in Sweden. I felt lucky to have gotten in my work. But as of today the gym is still open. Her information was wrong. She also told me that China had it all under control now...per the Swedish news or whatever the hell her source was. But then I read that it is all a huge propaganda campaign by the Communists. Information is Trump. Who has the information? What is the rest of the junk being thrown around like a tossed salad.
The charts can be cooked. Let me tell you a story about cooking the numbers. From an old Quality Control Specialist.Leave a comment:

Interesting. I expected Singapore and Japan to be totally on it. These ridiculously tidy countries often are. I am surprised Switzerland has allowed the situation to get away from them somewhat. The UK are playing a slightly different game to everyone else by, as yet, not closing schools, etc. We aren't geared up for a mass outbreak. The ICUs are already running on the edge of full capacity as it is. Testing for the virus is also woefully low and inadequate. This is the most concise graphic I've seen of where the US is in the cycle. Per a noted healthcare expert: Atul Gawande "It appears we are a week or so behind Italy. A ban on flights from Europe isn’t going to change that. More decisive federal action — massive testing and social distancing — appears to be necessary to “flatten the curve.” Personal feedback, a Silicon Valley VC's 83 yo grandparents have been quarantined for a week in a New Rochelle synagogue. They have no idea whether they have covid-19 or not --- because they can't get tested. US lags most Western countries in delivering tests. There is presumably a window of opportunity to contain this -- as we successfully did with SARs. Threat was huge there, it got dealt with. Threat is huge here, action is not yet clear.
God knows what could happen in America. The decision making seems mixed and erratic.Leave a comment:

Within this article is an excellent explanation of how this virus attacks. In older bodies with less protein in the cells the virus is invited by the host. In younger bodies with more protein in the cells the virus is not wanted or desired. Therefore the virus plays havoc with the old and sickly and with the young...not so much.
I ran this by my sister...an excellent source on health issues. Professional. I was amazed by my recovery from my cold a couple of weeks ago. But I have been in a "prehabilitation" program for several months. Changes in rigorous exercise, higher protein diet and most importantly significantly increased water intake. My sister also told me that older bodies tend to be dehydrated which is a huge source of problems when battling things like germ and germ warfare. She gave me high marks on my program and said that it was exactly what you should do to minimise health issues even such as the coronavirus.
To defeat this virus you have to defeat the cycle. Exposure is one thing. Minimize your exposure by being around less people. Wash your hands...the right way. Try not to touch surfaces that everyone else is. But in the end much of this hype and it is hard to determine exactly how much is hype is about fear. This is the tough part to decipher.
I am going to the gym today.Leave a comment:

Watch Don Lemon...the poorest excuse of a "news reporter"...throw gasoline on the fire. Much of this is a political agenda. The people are caught in a crossfire. Not knowing what to believe because information is Trump. With idiots like this pontificating and dramatising to the nth degree it is going to be awfully difficult for the average man to get a handle on the situation. The other commentator is a total "anti Trump" mouthpiece but he is cutting the President some slack and wisely so. Best not to fan the flames of an already volatile situation.
We'll see where this "disinformation show" leads us in the end. Much ado about not much? Stay tuned.
But really Don Lemon...in a word. Pathetic. Fake news. Mainstream Media...WMD. Weapon of Mass Deception.Leave a comment:

Miami will be cancelled. No tournament organiser can risk it. Just one death that can be linked to running an ATP tournament and the media will have a field day. The organiser/committee will be sacked and the governing body kicked to pieces. It's easy to avoid all that by playing safe and canceling the event. It will be a brave man who decides to go ahead with an ATP event over the next month or two.Phil,
Wow. My wife asked me go buy a bunch of canned food. But SF is still open. They may make the Warriors play in an empty stadium though and a bunch of schools and colleges are closed. The most amazing thing is there is no way yet to get tested if you are concerned. Still waiting to see if I get to go to Miami. I talked to someone in the know and as of now it's a go. But something makes me think that is going to change.Leave a comment:
