Jarry bringing the big man tennis up 3-0 in 3rd set. Crowd in booing the Jarry slam dunk overheads ha. Moutet at his irritating best in this atmosphere.

The annoying Moutet playing very well up 2 sets to love over Jarry. The crowd is loving it.

How did I miss that Kei Nishikori is entered? Surprised he's healthy enough. Long, long comeback trail.

Just saw the score under way with Kei up 7-5, 7-6(3), 2-1

Nicolas Jarry vs Corentin Moutet might see some soccer hooligan-level behavior.

Apparently, team Moutet didn't appreciate the crowds when they met in Santiago and is promising revenge>

    Moutet coach Petar Popovic:

"All in all – Sunday, he (Jarry) is fu**ed! He made his own bed. We won that match in Santiago, but we were so disgusted with everything that we even had a conversation: ’When he comes to Paris, there will be hell waiting’. And I really hope that the hell will await, so that Jarry grows sick of tennis at least for a few weeks."

I believe match point was a one-handed backhand, if I remember correctly. Fitting.

Took 34 games for a break

P.S. Good thing the ATP site has live scores because the Roland Garros site isn't updating. Sigh. What's that old joke about heaven and hell, in Hell the Germans do the food and the French do the organization?

Alcaraz is through in straight sets. Although his opponent, J.J Wolf, is only ranked 104, it's a good sign that he was hitting his forehand well.

    Nadal presser:

“I am improving in different ways. I have less limitations than three, four weeks ago, without a doubt,” Nadal said in Saturday’s press conference. “I am having a good week of practices. I probably will say this is the first week since I came back playing tennis that I am able to run the proper way without having a lot of limitations. That encourages me.

“In the practices, without a doubt I improved. Especially in terms of movements. So I don't feel the limitations that I felt in Rome in terms of running to both sides, so that's a lot for me.”

Ruud wins Geneva and looks very strong and fit, absolutely primed for the FO. I like his draw also. He looks like a very good smart money bet as the 6th favorite to win the FO. His forehand, with the highest RPM's in tennis, is a clay court marvel. It seems like he never is going to miss it.

Tomorrow/ Sunday's First Round Matches include:

    * Stan vs Sir Andy, one I wish I could see live. On Chatrier sans doute
    * Alcaraz vs Wolf - is Carlos 100% physically and (per his own words) mentally
    * Rublev vs Daniel. Several prognosticators have put Rublev among their favs. I like him, but I don't know why.
    * Katie Volynets vs Krunic -- Because, by golly, she's lives a few miles away from me and fought her way through qualies, so there
