How did I miss that Kei Nishikori is entered? Surprised he's healthy enough. Long, long comeback trail.

Just saw the score under way with Kei up 7-5, 7-6(3), 2-1

The annoying Moutet playing very well up 2 sets to love over Jarry. The crowd is loving it.

Jarry bringing the big man tennis up 3-0 in 3rd set. Crowd in booing the Jarry slam dunk overheads ha. Moutet at his irritating best in this atmosphere.

Roland Garros' web site is having periodic outages of its scoreboard.
So other links just in case:

Tsitsipas wins the 1st set vs Fucsovic in a tiebreaker, despite a "boatload of return errors off his backhand side", as Jimmy Arias pointed out. That is a lot to overcome for Stef, even with his otherwise stellar clay court game.

Not looking good for Rafa. Two sets down and Zverez now looking quite relaxed.

Ben Shelton looked like he's getting used to clay, after dropping the first set vs Gaston.

His father/coach, at the beginning of the clay swing, said something vaguely "I made the mistake of avoiding clay, not understanding that my kick serve was perfectly suited. It took a while to figure that out. I want Ben to embrace it".

When Ben manipulated a rally to get to an inside-out forehand from his lefty his backhand corner I swear I saw just a tiny glimmer of Nadal there

Jannik Sinner seems to be past his exercise room induced hip injury.

But the guy who seemed to win every break point faced several and was broken. Rust?

After bursting on the scene, Arthur Fils seems to have hit a flat spot, out in four to Matteo Arnaldi.

Then again, Fils is still 19 yo, Arnold 23.

Terribly sad to see Rafa go out at the first hurdle. He would likely have beaten around 120 of the players in the draw even on his current poor form. What a shame.

I guess Rafa is just going to be stuck on 14 RG titles ha.

I am watching Tifoe play a young Italian qualifier Bellucci, a lefty. Very good looking clay court game.

Great win for Tiafoe vs a very talented and inspired Bellucci. Maybe this will get Tiafoe going. Tiafoe needs to permanently ditch the Monfils/Kyrgios I am an entertainer thing, and he may get some traction.

It's Tuesday morning in Paris and Medvedev and Koepfer are still on court.

In the fourth set. If they go 5 will they break for breakfast?

Elisabetta Cocciaretto 3-6, 6-4, 6-1 beat seed Hadad Maria just earlier also Tuesday AM.

                                Insane.
