    ATP 500's, Basel and Vienna

Tsitsipas was scheduled to play Musetti 1st round and pulled out with some injury again. Fritz up 1st round vs Vacherot in Basel.

Quite the high quality battle. Fritz just manages the match so well to come out with the winner. The one clear advantage is the Fritz serve, Vacherot has a very good serve, Fritz of course has one of the very best.

Sinner a massive favorite vs Zverev with an implied probability of winning at 92%. Fonseca a slight favorite over Davidovich Fokina.

          Sinner Saved by Pickle Juice

Hallelujah! Sasha Zverev won the first set of the Vienna final with Jannik Sinner, then the Italian's left hamstring started cramping, bringing memories of Sinner's retirement in Shanghai where his opponent had to help him off the court. Never fear, pickle juice is near!. The trendy treatment for dehydration effects worked its magic. La Carotta evens their career H2H at four all winning the title 3-6, 6-3, 7-5.

Brazilian Teen Wins ATP 500 for Second Title

Joao Fonseca kept Alejandro Davidovich Fokina from his first title 6-3, 6-4 in Basel. At 19 years old, Joao is the third-youngest player to win an ATP 500 title since the series began in 2009. Fokina is now 0 for 5 finals, coming close multiple times without getting across the line.

Zverev played about as well as he possibly could. Sinner really just does everything better, except 1st serve. The Sinner fly swapper forehand, so compact and powerful, really hurt Zverev. Fonseca with a great 1st title win. DDF reminds me a bit of of a watered down Ferrer. He is definitely getting the max out of his potential, just as Ferrer did.
