It is with an incredibly heavy heart and a deep profound sense of sadness that I must regretfully inform the forum that Jon Faucett aka stroke has passed away. I sent a message to Jon, as I was unable to access the website, on Facebook where we have been Friends for a long, long time. His wife answered me and informed me that Jon suffered a heart attack on Saturday and passed away. I don't have any other information other than that to pass along. His family is devastated and as the news sunk in...it crushed me. My prayers for Jon and his beloved family are in my heart. I'm so deeply sorry to inform you.

That is such very sad news. Jon was a constant presence on the forum and contributed just as much in quieter periods as he did during busy ones. His posts span some 20 years. He followed the tour closely and had an exceptionally keen an up to date knowledge of the current players and their form. His posts reflected a genuine and deep love of the game. Jon loved and admired talent, but he valued decency just as highly and wasn’t afraid to call out players when they crossed given lines or showed a lack of respect. It’s so upsetting to hear that he has passed away. I got along so well with Jon and am deeply saddened.Stotty

I quoted Jon in my last article on the Fognini Forehand. He inspired me to write that article. Over the years we talked about training devices and other technical training topics and it was always a joy to hear from Jon. This is just awful news. Stotty's comment perfectly captures both Jon's keen mind along with his maturity and decency. I will deeply miss having him here.Last edited by jeffreycounts; 01-06-2026, 07:46 AM.

don_budge, if you learn that the family wishes any outside interaction, say there is a site for donation to a charity in his name or whatever, I'm sure some of us would be interested.Originally posted by don_budge View PostIt is with an incredibly heavy heart and a deep profound sense of sadness that I must regretfully inform the forum that Jon Faucett aka stroke has passed away.
