Loading on outside leg, how important, how to become more aware/drills

    Hi,
I have been working for awhile on movement in my game, so I've been looking at a lot of video on here and other sites. One of the areas that I was wondering is : When having to move and hit, it seems that a great deal of imprtance is placed on loading the outside leg and also using the momentum to power the stroke. I sometimes feel like when I really have to move, that I don't really commit to the shot by loading this outside leg i.e. I feel like I sometimes am focusing too much on the shot after the current shot (recovery before execution ??). But, at the same time, this loading is a more dynamic thing, so it's not like it happens over an extended period of time. In any case, I am wondering if anyone knows if this moving/loading/hitting is something that the pros work on, or is it something that they just figured out how to do. Also, does anyone know of any drills/exercises that can be done to increase awareness/execution of this phase of the stroke

    Thx Much

I would focus on staying really low as you move--with the knees bent--you're right that when you move it's dynamic and happens in fractions of a second. Unless you have time to get set this has to happen automatically. The pros I am sure just feel this as with most great things they do.
