I loved the Memoriam about John's mum. It was a lovely thing to write. My father passed away of cancer in 2006. I spent the final days at his bedside until the end. The cancer care people (who worked voluntarily) were outstanding in their care of my dad, and were the unsung heroes of the whole wretched process.
