Great find, Phil. It's his backhand that caught my attention, though, because his left hand doesn't support at the throat of the racket like most players during the take-back, instead it supports much lower down, near the grip it seems.

Kramer's Serve Placement

One thing you really notice in the doubles clip is the great placement of Kramer's serve. Reminds me of Sampras' tremendous placement on his serve. In the Kings of the Court video, Gene Mako (I think it was him) tells a story of how Kramer was put on a T.V. show where performers had to perform a task related to their field and they asked Kramer to hit a silver dollar (hanging over the net I think) on the serve and Kramer hit it on the first try. When I did the book with Welby Van Horn (who played both Kramer and Pancho G.), he told me that Kramer's serve was the equal of Pancho Gonzalez's serve: Pancho had more pace but Kramer's placement was even better than Pancho's.
