Phobia or underlying technical weakness?

I can't buy into this article. All players have weaknesses and simply learn to work with what they've got. We all do that in the end, don't we? Players who get twitchy and lose their nerve on specific shots (and in extreme cases become phobic) always have a horrible underlying technical fault...always. I can't buy into the idea that someone can have reasonably sound technique on a stroke and develop this kind of problem.
