The head prestige is a stiffer version of the pro stock pt57A. Try that stick and see how you like it, best strung with vs/alu or vs/black code 16g or vs/nrg2.

Federer's old Wilson is like a plank of wood. I played with it for a while and found it awful. The sweetspot is so tiny. How he won all the slams with the worst racket on the market is a more outstanding achievement than the achievement itself.

I happen to like that plank of wood feeling but I hear what you're saying My Head prestige racquets at 93 sq. inches and about 13.8 ounces feel like a 2 x 4. Guess I'm just weird, but I feel good with it.

Do you think a Dunlop frame might be suitable for him? Wilson frames seem to be a bit stiff to me.

The mfil-200 would have been good, if siliconed, weighted, and strung with vs/alu. Blake still uses it and he does not lack for power. Wayne F. used it, a Berkeley resident since he married a Berk. girl.

It seems to me he had Wilson copy jokers' frame, but his frame was listed by Raven to be an RA of 54. Fed needs an RA of 65. This new frame has no pop. I suspect, the joker frame is not as listed, but is actually 65. Also needs to string higher with the larger sweet spot, up to 59/61 from his 48/46lbs. Fed, if you are reading this, let me string and customize a frame for you. Just one.

Federer has had back issues throughout his career. No sense of being Chicken Little and proclaim the sky is falling the end of Federer. People did this in 2009 and he seemed to have a decent year. Anyone remember that? He'll be rested and ready and make a push at the US Open.

He said he was super close to pulling out of the tournament because of his back problems. He was playing in pain.

The back has been an issue since Indian Wells, maybe since last Wimbledon...I suspected that he was wearing a back brace during some of the clay court competition. Federer plays through the pain...but the back is a different story. It's tough to play through back pain.

Call in the acupuncturists and the masseuse.
