What do you guys see in Ryan's backhand?

I think there's too much lateral movement in his backswing. At the end and top of his backswing, the hands are a little too far away from his sternum, which creates a long way to the slot position (hands in) as the forward swing commences.

Compared to the so called ATP backhand definitely seems the case.
