Many nagging injuries. Rumors were speculating at the beginning of the year. Her Aussie Open victory quieted the whispers but a disappointing remainder of the year brought back the chatter. She had a huge impact on the game in the Asian Markets and was respected by fellow players and media. Her interviews showcased a nice personality with a wonderful sense of humor.

I know Carlos Rodriguez designed her training specifically to protect that injured knee/leg. He saw it as some type of continuing, permanent problem...

Tough to survive and compete on tour when not near 100% fitness and health. Carlos Rodriguez is a good coach and depending on his contract with the Chinese Federation and the academy over there he should be picked up by another player very soon. Who could or should that be? Bouchard dropping Saviano to go with Rodriguez? What about Ivanovic? Could an ATP Player land him?

He did some great things with Justine Henin during their time together. Her work ethic and his guidance and coaching I witnessed at Saddlebrook was impressive to say the least.
