Don't need much. Just Safin's size and athleticsm, Edberg's volleys and backhand, any top 10 player's forehand and a serve at least as good as Stich or Krajicek, then add the confidence of a Becker. If you could add the competitive guts of Fed, Djoker or Rafa, you would have a player for all time. But he would have to have a coach with the conviction to keep him serving and volleying at least 50% of the time all the way through his teenage years to develop the necessary skills and instincts. That may be the hardest ask of all. But, yes, he probably would be a cult hero!

Courage is needed. And perhaps a stubborn as hell attitude. When the world is yelling to stay back, you simply feel like you know better. And yes Phil, it takes a bit longer to master in this day and age.
