Kyrgios and Dustin Brown played an entertaining, see saw five setter. It was apparently one of the shortest five setters of recent times. The longest rally was 9 shots. Terrific drop shots and net play by Dustin! Too bad he lost.

Wawrinka goes out today. Them went out yesterday. Hate to say it but...Berdych looked great today and he is now the highest seed in his quarter. Plays winner of Zverev and Youzhny, they went 5 sets today and did not finish, therefore, they will play tomorrow.

Roger has had nothing to do so far this Wimbledon. He has duffed up two Brits so far who would barely get in the main draw most years. It's tough to know how well he is playing off the back of what he has done so far.

If Djokovic were to go out and Roger was to keep progressing, as looks likely, it could be interesting to see if he could make the final.

The standard amongst the lower ranked players in the draw was poor this year from what I witnessed on Thursday. Qualifiers have been managing to progress through a round or two, which isn't the norm. The game is possibly in for a bit of a lull.

I watched Tomic versus Albot (a qualifier) on court 2 on Thursday. I like Tomic. I find him good to watch live...much better than on TV. He can change pace up and down and has an unusual style. He hasn't improved in three or four years but that's not the point. His problem is it's hard work for him to win match after match because he cannot hit weaker players off easily. He's vulnerable like that.

I doubt he listens and is probably uncoachable. He could be so much better.

Djokovic is in trouble. He's was tentative...nervy. Querry tok full advantage and is playing the game of his career.

Tomorrow is another day however and Djokovic could easy reel off three straight sets. Good job play got stopped from his point of view.

I had a great day at Wimbledon. Jack Sock had a great first two sets in his match against Hasse. His forehand is one huge lump to contend with. He serve very well and was solid on his backhand too. I was surprised by just how well Jack could play. The amount of forehands of Jack's you think are going out yet dip in just before the baseline is amazing...a nightmare for the men calling the lines.

I watched Fognini come back from 0-3 in the fifth to reel off the next six games in a row against Delbonis. Fognini is the sweetest timer of a ball and completely fearless with it. As usual he had massive support from the Italian spectators who travel to see him. He's like the Errol Flynn of tennis.

I discovered Benoit Paire has the worst forehand on the tour yet the finest drop shot in the tournament. I love his languid style and effortless game. If only he knew what the word attrition meant. He fell away like a wet lettuce against Millman but never mind, when Benoit is good, he's really good and well worth seeing. He can volley well too.

Living vicariously through you Stotty. Sounds like you had a good time. You deserve it.

Yes, Benoit Paire is an interesting case. The backhand is superb but the forehand lacks that pro tour explosion. He's entertaining and magical when he is on but suffers from mental consistency and discipline so it does not happen often.

Fognini is a sweet player to watch stroke wise. His precision and timing is just special. Good fightback from him down 0-3 against Delbonis. That is usually a match he would pack it in walk away the loser. He got married in June to Flavia Pennetta. Lucky guy.

Day four at Wimbledon...

Well, Stotty will be at Wimbledon tomorrow. I have tickets for court 2 which should be good. I will be fairly close to the front. The forecast is reasonable and hopefully I will see a full day's play.

I watched the first seven games of Federer and Willis today then left for work. Willis was 7-0 down when I left the door. I was beginning to fear the worst. It's seems he managed to make a game of it of sorts, losing 6-3, 6-4 after a nervy start. The gap is so wide in reality between the top four and even those beyond the top ten....never mind someone at 772 in the world!

Good three set win fot Thiem against Florian Meyer, who knocked him out of Halle. Next up is Vesely, which should be doable. Hope the kid had a good run in Wimbledon!

Just watching Murray play Liam Broady. Terrible serve Broady has for a lefty. No weight transfer, very minimal knee-bend...one of the worst I have seen, to look at at least.

I hope Broady can pick his game up a little. The match is unwatchable at the moment. Murray leads 6-2...

A stuttering start by Federer. I only saw bits and bobs but McEnroe's take was that Roger was well below par.

He plays Britain's Marcus Willis in the second round who is ranked 772 and a qualifier. That's quite an achievement for Willis. I just hope he won't be too overawed playing Federer. It could be embarrassing drubbing if Willis cannot produce his very best.
