On all the videos at Tennisplayer the pros all seem to split step backwards why is this?

Copy a URL from the site of one of the split steps you are taking about and paste it in. I think I know what you are talking about but let's look.

Yeah he definitely moves back! You usually see that after the serve when the players come into the court and them use the split step to jump back toward or behind the baseline.
This One? Not sure. Not sure he does it on purpose. But you made me curious so I cehcked another dozen Federer ones--wouldn't say he goes back on most.
