    Forehand Loop

I have a student who stops his racket at the bottom of the loop and then restarts the swing from that point. He is losing whatever momentum he might otherwise gain from the loop. Any teaching suggestions, exercises or drills you can think of to help him with this problem? Thanks.

Sounds like he is taking his racket back too soon. How about having him keep his racket to his front until the ball is close. His backswing will have to be faster with no time to stop the racket at the bottom of the loop.

Depends on what his turn and hand and arm position is at the Turn--are they together--does the left arm stretch--sounds like that probably isn't happening.
