Please get video of Marcelo Rios

I love the clip you have of Marcelo Rios in Myth of the Wrist: Backhand section. Do you have clips of Marcelo that you could put into the stroke archive section? Once clip just isn't enough for me.

That'd be nice. But no unless he makes a comeback. It's sad but a lot of players were never filmed--Edberg, etc--actually that goes back a long way. We have some of the only footage of Laver et al

Then I don't think you'll ever have Rios. He finished his retirement tour a few months ago. In his last match on the retirement tour, he beat Guillermo Coria. Pretty amazing. So much game, and such a beautiful game, but so little dedication.

Yes and we didn't film him doing that either...

No doubt, but one of the most beautifully efficient games I've ever seen.

                lukman41985,

Marcelo Rios was a great player to watch. But sadly there is no film of him. I asked John several years ago if he had any video of my favorite, Stefan Edberg. The answer was no, so I know how you feel. Not John's fault or the players fault. It is what it is.

My best advice to you, and this is how I get my Edberg fix, is youtube. I know its not the same as tennisplayer.net and I'm not a huge youtube fan when it comes to tennis clips but it helps ease the pain once in a while when I need it.

here is a clip I found of Rios...hope this helps a little.

                Good luck to you.

I think we had just a couple of clips in our original 1997 high speed filming at the Open if I recall...I will try to dig it out...Stefan...I could only wish! Wouldn't it be great to see a few high speed clips of dominant serve and volley points???

Preaching to the choir on that one. Serve and volley at its finest. Great stuff. Memories...

I won three ntrp 4.5 matches in one day serving and volleying last week, in callie heat. Two of those guys I beat have won 4.5 level tournaments.

So we have to go watch Geoff if we want to see dominance at the net in the modern era.

The return of serve behind the back was not too shabby either. So casual. Truly got the sense he didnt care when he was out there. The tennis court was his playground. Very talented player.
