    Hey John,

in your New Teaching System Forehand Technical Characteristics video you talk about how the preferred stance is semi-open and that neutral stances are typically used on low balls or short balls (players coming forward)

when the ball is deep/high/coming to the player they prefer semi-open stances.

this step down move trying to take time away from your opponent (being aggressive) I can udnerstand but how is that the most important move? Golden move 1?

I have had huge ammount of success with students introducing them to the different types of stances and having an expression of stances based on the type of ball coming (deep/high/coming to the player using semi-open and low / coming forward more neutral)

I also wonder did federer who has these great expression of stances/movement patterns learn them from being told or through becoming more athletic?

It's just the first one in the series--not #1 in importance.
