Thanks for the article. Really enjoyed it, encourages one to think and be aware that for success one must be flexible enough to adapt one's game according to the style of the opponent. I think this is also why Roger Federer is so successfull: he can resort to many different types of play.

You've done it again Craig. Another great article. If only I had the presence of mind and wasn't so stubborn I would actually be able to use your great strategies.
Still a very entertaining read and I will definitelly try to get my students to think through matches like you suggest.
