What do pro forehands look like from above in high speed video?

They look like the perimeter of a tennis racket as Tomaz Mencinger has advised for rec players.

Love it! You can really see the rotational forces at play. I appreciate the difficulty in getting the player in field of view. I tried to do the same thing with a boom setup years back, but it got too tedious and I didn’t have a remote monitor setup. Looking forward to viewing the serve from that angle because you can really get a better feel for swing planes and toss locations in relation to the body on different types of serves.

I love this view. The best forehands also seem as though the non-dominant hand releases when it gets to directly above the back leg. Interesting.

Ryan Shane’s full racket flip and laid back wrist is clearly revealed in the overhead view.
