      Got it! So the type 1 is more like an overhand frisbee throw. The linear component keeps it from jerking off of target while at the same time there are plenty of rotational components that add to the stroke from the torso.

      What an illusion? A shot that looks rotational but has lots of linear components. No wonder we miss it with the naked eye.

        Agreed! Because it is so fast we can't see what is actually happening.

        It wouldn't work very well if it was as circular as it appears unless you would like to hit all of your forehands sideways
