It was no doubt small margains. I kind of felt like Novak was going to win it until he didn't.

Just finished watching on replay after managing to avoid finding out the result. Totally agree with stotty's comment above, plus the later one about failing to use the dropshot. Strange performance from Novak, who I was bizarrely supporting.

That’s to me the place where it all begins. Small margins. Rune just seemed faster than Djokovic. It was like watching Fed playing Sampras in 99. Sampras was really good and very talented on grass. Fed just seemed a step quicker and able to capitalize.

What really struck me was that Djokovic had trouble creating any space where Rune could not cover the ball who played with a cat like quality. Every hole that Djokovic created, Rune would cover and return it with interest.

Then Djokovic needed the trainer. So like a good economist, I have predicted 9 of the last 5 recessions. Yes, I am once again predicting that the older generation will finally be replaced by the younger generation that is faster, more explosive and not intimidated.

Imagine Djokovic trying to run for two more sets like that.

The recession of the Big 4 which started with Fed's retirement in late 2022, will finally arrive in 2023. I predicted it again!
