    Interesting, the announcers pointed out Nadal had not played enough matches to qualify for this list

    I still haven't figured out what their ratings for serve mean / how they are calculated. Now this.

    Any idea what "quality" means.

    Perhaps Diego Schwartzman leads in "quantity" <g>

      No idea, but I do think this ATP "Insights " list is separate from the ATP Best Shots list on their website.

        Shot Quality measures the quality of the player’s serve, return, forehand and backhand on a 0-10 scale. They are calculated in real-time by analysing each shot's speed, spin, depth, width, and the impact it has on the opponent.
        A player's movement, however, is not taken into consideration - which is a weakness one feels as 'getting into position' is absolutely key to hitting great shots.

          I suspect they would say movement shows up in the results. i.e. as you wrote, it's essential.
